The Pt Richards Boat Ramp Foreshore is currently undergoing significant protection works.
Bellarine Bayside and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning are repairing the rock groyne to the north of the Point Richards Boat ramp, which became undermined during a series of severe storms in 2014. The works also include an extension of the groyne to the east, which will form a low rock revetment wall.
The groyne repairs address the current public safety issues and will assist in maintaining the boat ramp function. The rock revetment will protect the edge of the car park from erosion.
The works, which began on 2nd March, will completed at the end of the month subject to weather conditions. The boat ramp will be accessible during the works.
