New St Leonards Creek Bridge works to commence soon

The installation of the St Leonards Creek Bridge and associated revegetation and landscape works is planned to commence mid June, this year.

These much needed works will include a new 2500mm wide timber bridge linking the coastal trail across the St Leonards Creek and the construction of a new pathway linking the St Leonards Boat Ramp with the Coastal Trail.

Other works include installing new bench seats, complete with arm and back rests, and picnic facilities.

To further protect this sensitive coastline, works will also include the removal of environmental weeds, installing coastal fencing with access points and revegetation works.

This project is being funded by Bellarine Bayside in partnership with the Department of Environment, Land Water and Planning.

Access to this area will be restricted during the four weeks construction period.
