Upgrade works on our coast in time for summer

Coastal Works at Indented Head and jetty upgrade at Portarlington Holiday Park

As managers of 17 km of Crown land from Point Richards to St Leonards, Bellarine Bayside is active throughout the winter months improving and upgrading the coastal foreshore and other assets. This creates a safe coastline and accessible facilities that our local community, visitors and holidaymakers can enjoy.

The most recently completed works include upgrading the Portarlington Holiday Park jetty and completion of the new bridges and boardwalk near the coastal salt marsh at Indented Head.

The improvements to the jetty will enable safer access for boat users on the lower landing. This has been replaced with a stable non-slip surface and the main jetty has had the structural timber replaced.

The coastal trail improvements will increase user safety by taking the trail away from the road and protecting the coastal salt marsh from pedestrian traffic with a new boardwalk and bridges. All projects on our coast are funded through income received from our holiday parks. If you would like any further information on our projects or wish to be placed on an email distribution list to stay updated on foreshore projects please email us at contactus@bellarinebayside.com.au.
