Bellarine Catchment Network has been announced as a finalist in the 2016 Sustainable Cities Awards (City of Greater Geelong) in the Litter Prevention category for their Caring For Our Bays-Litter Hotspot Program. The Sustainable Cities awards encourage, motivate and celebrate sustainability achievements of metropolitan communities across Australia.
Bellarine Bayside works closely with Bellarine Catchment Network in a number of areas including Summer By the Sea, our schools environmental education program, the Green Army and of course the Litter Hotspot Program.
Dick Gross, Chairman of the Keep Victoria Beautiful Board says, “Congratulations to all the 2016 Sustainable Cities Finalists. There were outstanding applications in all categories for this famous awards program.”
